I purchased the single door, large heated cat house and it’s definitely worth the money! Very reasonably priced, solid construction and fairly easy to put together, even for a senior like me. I have several feral cats at my house that I feed daily and I wanted to make sure they had protection from the elements and cold winter weather. I purchased the one that has the zippered flap, which allows me to close the opening partially to block cold air from entering, and still allow the animals to get in comfortably. I put a food dish inside and my feral kitties use it all the time to go in and eat, then bed down for the night, and during bad weather. Even my local skunk and opossum visitors have discovered it. That’s why I purchased a second one, hopefully just for the kitties! I definitely recommend a Clawsable for anyone looking to purchase a reasonably priced, well constructed, outdoor heated cat house.
Purchased one large Clawsable with heating pad and immediately needed a second one. We built in the country and over three years have trapped and neutered eight cats. We do have two-story wood and straw shelters with chicken coop heaters in them by the wood, but five of the eight cats have claimed me. Two of them were dumped so being outside in the winter, well, they have no cat-sense. They are inside/out cats and stay inside at night. Three other cats, a mom and two of her 2-year old daughters are curious. I put the shelters on the covered porch and they love them. They are sturdy, block wind, and provide a safe space. I thought the price was reasonable and they are easy to assemble, durable material, and stable. Buy this one.
I have a couple of stray kittens living in my backyard, so I purchased this heated cat house to help them during wintertime. Those kitties quickly realized the house was for them and started sleeping there whenever they needed to nap.
The house is sturdy and waterproof, and the heating pad functions without issues.
I have this inside my house to get the cats used to it before putting it outside. I have 7 cats and they love it. There is always a cat inside it. One cat gets in and lays on the side without the heating pad. I feel like I need to get some boxes for inside the house. Someone mentioned the legs not sticking well, they are loose if you just stick them in but if you twist they stick in place.
I got the medium square gray camo 2-door cat house with heater for my 11 pound cat. It's really nice and simple to put together. . I like the easy open top for setting my cat's food bowl inside. At first I didn't know if he'd use it but by putting the food inside, he soon got used to going inside. After about a week, I've been seeing him come off the back porch, where I keep it, when I come home after work so I'm pretty sure he's using it now. I'm not sure if the heating pad is warm enough with a blanket on top of it but the pad does have its own pillow case, so it's fine. The escape door is a nice feature in case he has to make a quick getaway from another critter. I would definitely buy another Clawsable cat house!
