This cat house is easy to assemble, and it can be folded up and stored as needed. Right now, I am testing on my indoor cat, and she loves it. Cats like to hide away and nap, and this is great for that. I think it will be good this winter for the outdoor cats that my friend has, so we will use it for them at that time. This is sturdy and has a zippered pad inside that we can put warm packs in. The legs keep it off the ground and it can be secured with the spikes that are provided. I think this is a great little unit and will be great for the cold weather, since it is also insulated. I am pleased with it and considering a second one. I am not sure that my indoor cat will want to give it up.

Our cat is not the smartest but he loves his boxes. Any box, even the tiny ones in which he can't fit. He has no concept of his size.While he is an indoor cat, we like to let him outside in a controlled space (ie no escape possible) but it can get hot in the afternoon. So we used that box and it seems to be doing the trick.It's very easy to assemble. Put the supporting frame together (clip tube and corners together, takes less than 2 minutes), slide the frame inside the outside box, secure the velcro straps on the 4 sides, put the soft bedding in and voila.Of course, he didn't want to leave his box so we just move the box inside and now he goes in there to take nap.When folded back, it doesn't take much space.

My elderly father has property and despite our best efforts to TNR, there seems to be a high cat population. While we don't get really cold in Florida, it does get too cool for kittens in the winter. We have picked up various cat houses over the years, but I was drawn to this one. We considered buying insulated flashing for making warm boxes for the kittens, but this is already insulated. It has a good flap for easy entry/exit, but it is still a stable one, unlike ones we had in the past. I did not completely put it together at this point because we aren't ready for it, but I examined it and it doesn't look hard to do. Although we haven't used it yet, It seems to check off all the boxes of what we need to help with the kittens. While I pray we won't have many, it is nice to have something like this house to help us with our rescue efforts
