The small size cot comes with one ice pack which provides hours of cool lounging for my cat. The ice pack doesn't make direct contact with the cot material so the surface doesn't get too cold. My cat prefers this cooling cot over her other cot with a cooling blanket on it.
It would be great if Clawsable had a canopy accessory (or anything to provide shade) that can be attached to the cot.
This is a good idea but I haven’t used the cooling system underneath. The bed was easy to put together, my 8 year old did it, I just had to snap it in place at the end by using some arm strength. Easy peasy.
I grabbed the small size because I have Chihuahua's. It is a good tidy size for one Chi. I have another similar hammock bed that is much bigger and can accomodate two little dogs, but takes up a lot of room.This Clawsable brand elevated dog bed was very easy to assemble once you realize that one of the short ends has a velcro clossure. The instructions fail to mention that. Undoing the one end is the only way to get the frame together through the vinyl body.The included cooling pad under the bed is a neat option that I will take advantage of once the weather turns warm. Clawsable states that this bed is for indoor use only, but it should do great in the outdoor elements too as all the materials are plastic and fiberglass, which feels like vinyl to me. My dogs and I will be enjoying this bed all summer long.
I have three cats and quite frequently they are left outside to fend for themselves. Because I value my kitties I have provided them with some outside cat beds on the rafters of our portch. This provides comfort and safety during the night. When the Winter months showed up last year I thought, mmmm the kitties might need a little bit better shelter from the cold. Shortly after that, I came across an advertisement for these CAT Shelters! Walah!! I bought a large one and my kitties love it! When the cold finally reared its head, there were three tenents ready to go and they enjoyed it very much! The next morning, I went out the back door and called them, all three of them came piling out of their Winter quarters. They appeared to be rested and ready for another day of cat adventures!
This was a well-made item however, I determined making one myself as much more cost-effective and purchased a heating pad separately from this exact same company.
